Dear teachers and fellow students, I am here to talk to you about the ban of eating food in class. Teachers "explain" that this is because we students tend to litter and dump our leftovers and food packaging around, but don't u all think that is too weak of a reason? How many students really do that? Do all of us do that? Is a few black sheep amongst all of us enough to cause this ban? I say not.Instead of banning eating food in classrooms altogether just because of a few misfits, I suggest a different tactic to this problem. Why not have recess monitors to catch those who litter irresponsibly? Think of it. Sometimes we students have last minute revisions to make,and the only time we can think of to study is during recess! If we cant even have some food in class,we might as well resort to revising during lessons,which would be a worse idea. So please, take some action, instead of passing a ban and trying to get from the problem.Unlift the ban on eating food in class, and start cracking down on the "litter bugs". Together, we can make the school,A BETTER PLACE FOR US ALL! Thanks for your time.

Stephen Chow

Our english group, consisting of me,Raymond and Ryan is doing this blog post on one of our idols,(not counting Mr Tan aka Bentwy),Stephen Chow a well known comedian from Hong Kong.


Stephen was born into a poor family with 3 sisters on 22nd of June,1966 in Hong Kong, but had spent most of his youth in Shanghai,China. It was there when he developed a special interest for Martial Arts, after watching tons of Bruce Lee(his idol) shows.IN fact,he was such a fan that he even took the time to learn Wing Chun, an art of martial arts made popular by Bruce.However, did you know that because his parents did not have enough money to send him to martial arts lessons,he actually learnt it all from watching Bruce Lee movies,which is quite a feat.


In 1982,when he graduated from high school, he went for an audition with an acting school by TVB ,but was rejected ( kan ni niang la!!) However,with the help of his close friend, Lee Chi Hung,he was allowed to take night classes and eventually graduated in 1983.


His first appearences in television were mainly in dramatic roles, which i cannot imagine him playing,in numerous television series.


His first comedic break as when he starred in the movie All for the Winner,which i have personally watched before,in 1990.Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Since then, he has been starring in many comedies, with a lot of them being directed by himself.
His most famous co -star,Ng Man TatPhoto Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket whom i find very cute,just like Mr Ben Tan aka bentwy, is one of my favourite actors too. However, our favourite of Stephen Chow's co stars has to be Lee Kin Yan Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket, who appears in some of Stephen Chow's movies as a nose picking cross dressing female, as Ru Hua, or Flowery Girl in english. His appearences are mostly brief and unexpected,but extremely funny still.The only movie i remember him playing as a normal man is in Million Dollar man, where he starrs as a nerdy high school student. this is a video of some of his cameos in Stephen's movies.
Now its time to discuss our favourite movies of him.There are a lot of great movies that Stephen has made,but our favourite would have to be the 1994 classic, Love on Delivary, starring Christy Chung and of course Stephen Chow. This movie is mainly a rags-to-riches story,as with alot of other Stephen Chow movies. This is because Stephen's life story is also something like a rags-to-riches-story,hence so many movies on this. It is about a weak man learning martial arts to beat a man who has stolen away his lover,but not by fair means. this is a clip from the start of the movie,a parody of Terminator.Stephen is naked in this scene because he has given his clothes and money to a beggar out of kindness.In turn he is arrested for being a flasher.Haha.
this is another extremely funny clip from the movie.
At the end of this post,we would like to tell all of u why we decided to do this blog post on Stephen Chow. To other people, he may be just a normal actor.To some other extremely funny and fit and cool and handsome and cute lady killers,he is JUST A RICH ACTOR. However,to us, he is an inspiration. Without him, the genre of "mo lei tau" or senseless humour,would never have appeared. His life story is the perfect example of rags-to-riches.He is one of the ones who brought asian films to Hollywood. He is one of the only people who i really laugh at,even though not as much as when Mr Tan says a joke. To put it simply, he is truly one of our great inspirations in life. We will end with this quote from him
"I used to cry when I watched Chaplin's films. It was from him that I learned about the role of the underdog. And because I'm also from a poor family, this kind of thing moved me and I found that it also worked for the audience because most of them are like me - ordinary guys." And also sorry Mr Tan for talking extremely loudly just now.Same to the class of 3G for disrupting the class and not being able to keep silent for one minute.We will try to change and turn over a new leaf.We promise never to talk loudly or anything in class again,unless Mr tan tells a joke and we can't stop ourselves from laughing(WHO CAN??!!!).Sorry.

So now i'll continue on My Music.I'll be showing some videos and letting you all hear my music,while explaining a bit about the song.First i'll do the videos part.The first video i am going to talk about will be The War,by Angels and AirwavesOverall i like the song because of its tune,its singer previously from Blink 182( i like Blink 182 too)and because it got war war fight fight.I'll be showing another video,but i won't be explaining it cause i don't understand the lyrics.Basically i like this song because my brother said the movie was nice,the song was touching,and it sounds nice to me.

So this week the assignment is about music.So i'll be showing two videos,and talking about the rest of the songs i like.First i'll talk about the songs i listen to,and why.I listen from a wide range of genres,like indonesian pop(My Heart,Perempuanku,Pencinta Wanita,Mungkin Nanti,Tak bisakah), heavy metal(Avenged Sevenfold songs), British alternative pop/rock(Bands like Kaiser Chiefs,Ambulance Ltd,Artic Monkeys),classic rock(AC/DC,Guns'n'Roses,The Beegees,Michael Learns to Rock) and emotional core(18 Visions,Bullet for my Valentine,The Used,30 Seconds to Mars.), and Ska Music(Gerhana Ska Cinta,Save Ferris,Edna's Goldfish).If you are wondering why i listen to these songs,it's because i listen to what my brother listens to.He is a great influence on the music i listen to because he is my elder brother and i guess younger brothers like to follow their elder brothers.For example,when he was into ska,i was into ska too.Now that he's into british alternative and classic rock,so am i. Its enough about my influences,now about my dislikes.I don't like listening to techno,because it makes my head spin.Thats about all. I'll be continuing in a second post on this topic.

Free Post: Singapore vs Malaysia+ Aftermath


Ok this will be my first real post in my life. So yesterday i went to Raymond's house around noon to just hang out and chill and do the things cool people do. Then after playing FIFA.07 on the Playstation 2,my FAVOURITE SMELLY BOY fuseng came in a incredibly tight and sexy shirt and his usual emo spiked up hair. As usual I showed him some magic tricks and he saw through them,totally being the clever Triple Science boy that he is. Also,he laughed at me when i played with Raymond's toy carpark set, saying that I was a childish imbecile,and that cool people like him played cool games like DOTA and golf. So after all that we went to Tampines MRT station to meet the other guys for the match. Ok i'll leave out the eating parts and stuff and skip straight to the match. It was really crowded when we reached the stadium,and really noisy and such.After lining up a while , we finally managed to get in the stadium. The intensity of all the noise and cheering really hit me when i entered the stadium.The atmosphere was seriously great! We did the Kallang Roar+Wave and all that too.As you all know by now we won the match by penalties.The last save looked like it was planned. Still im really happy for singapore, although a little bit sad for Malaysia considering i got some roots in Malaysia...
Ok enough for the match so we were walking out of the stadium amidst the Ole ole ole cheers,not knowing where to walk towards.In the end we kind of got lost and walked to Bugis. diAoSsS lOrSsS!oH mY tIaNsss! hUrHuRSssS -_-". So we were walking around Bugis,the In District in Singapore in the middle of the night at 12+.How cool. Worst still some guy kept pestering to call my dad to come and fetch us. You guessed it its our delightfully malodorous friend F.S. In the end we decided to call a cab and managed to reach home before 2AM.How fantabulous. I've run out of words to say so I guess i'll be ending my post here. Will be going to Singapore vs Thailand this Wednesday with Raymond if most people cant make it, since we're the 2 most cool and paikia people around. Hope Chelsea wins tonight.
